I LOVE your choice - I have two Janomes and would love to add that one to my collection. Congrats on the new addition to the family as well :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16888904401955557320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6590689044094137272.post-82061727839111914332011-06-28T04:21:42.364+10:002011-06-28T04:21:42.364+10:00Wow! I was looking forward to you achieving your goal when I read it at Amy's last week, and wondered how you were going to test that many machines in a week. Now I see. Thank you for such an honest post.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00821679129957603839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6590689044094137272.post-86929945719465440262011-06-28T02:50:09.339+10:002011-06-28T02:50:09.339+10:00Honey, I'm still sewing on an old Kenmore so I...Honey, I'm still sewing on an old Kenmore so I'm sure sewing on those for me would be like something from another galaxy! thanks for all the information. I don't find the throat space that big of an issue, but the throat space on my last machine wasn't any bigger. Good luck!M-R Charbonneauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02089657334279122457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6590689044094137272.post-67356935116729439822011-06-27T21:19:02.744+10:002011-06-27T21:19:02.744+10:00Gosh, you sure had a hard time ;-)) When I started...Gosh, you sure had a hard time ;-)) When I started to look for a new machine (because my Pfaff Quiltexpression 4.0 was giving me nightmares ...) I did about the same thing. In the end, I was lucky: the company I wanted to buy from (Janome) launched a machine that combined what I wanted and needed: the HORIZON / 7700. AND I found a dealer who gave me a good deal for my Pfaff. So, I'm a happy sewer (again), and I keep my fingers crossed for you for a similar outcome! And congrats for your new grandchild ;-))quilthexlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13572610798252479303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6590689044094137272.post-56637313310594154972011-06-27T21:11:59.715+10:002011-06-27T21:11:59.715+10:00Ooh, this makes me excited to one day test drive a...Ooh, this makes me excited to one day test drive a bunch of sewing machines (when I feel like I've earned it by sewing for a few more years on the one I have). I'm glad you had so much fun trying them all out!Allihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06064585598115000874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6590689044094137272.post-71721818722023255762011-06-27T16:30:16.404+10:002011-06-27T16:30:16.404+10:00This is a really interesting post Lynne. I didn't do enough test driving before buying my machine and now I regret not researching a bit more. I went to one recently here in Ireland and they had only one sewing machime stand 'Pfaff' with just two overpriced machines. I too hope to buy a sewing machine soon so keep us posted on your purchase, siobhan :)Siobhanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05693993049415898865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6590689044094137272.post-56619424004548569492011-06-23T13:07:32.093+10:002011-06-23T13:07:32.093+10:00Sounds slightly overwhelming but definitely worth ...Sounds slightly overwhelming but definitely worth it. It was like coming along to try out a bunch of different brands with you. I'm with you - a quilter needs a larger throat area! I look forward to hearing all about your new machine when you take the plunge.Chrissyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09110168035042134388noreply@blogger.com
